Bebe's final work was Mixed Emotions, composed in 2000. The sound material was computer-generated and was created in USCB's CREATE studios. Bebe brought the recordings of the material back with her to Los Angeles where she finished the piece in the studio of composer Jane Brockman who did the editing, mixing, and mastering. Bebe had given me permission to put this work on my site for download for the period of a few months around her 80th birthday in 2005, and had also said that I could freely distribute the work in the future. I had announced that I would be offering this work again in an article that I sent on April 20, 2008, to my newsletter list. Unfortunately, Bebe's permission seems to have left with her, as I've been asked not to offer this work as a download or distribute it in any way. While I'm sorry to disappoint those who've come here expecting to find the piece, the matter is out of my hands. Mixed Emotions will not be available as a download from my site.
